Here are four important pieces to the puzzle about the Chiefs offense versus the Ravens defense for Sunday’s game. The Chiefs need to win each match-up to pull off their first playoff win since Bill Clinton was President.

Baltimore Ravens vs.Pittsburgh Steelers
Slow down Haloti Ngata and Terrell Suggs. Ray Lewis gets the much-deserved accolades for being the leader of the Ravens defense, but defensive end Ngata is the best player on this unit. Just a notch behind him is linebacker Suggs. Despite my desire to not overblow the Raiders game last week, Oakland’s defensive front seven dominated the Chiefs offensive line like no other team has done this year. And Oakland’s group doesn’t compare to Ngata and Suggs. The Chiefs offensive line – specifically Brandon Albert and Brian Waters – must protect Matt Cassel’s backside much better than they did last week or Cassel will end up on … well … his backside. It will probably take a few well-time screen passes and pitch-outs to Jamaal Charles to slow these two down.
